  • Dentist

    Dr. Kate grew up in McCook where she was active in school, church, and 4-H. Following high school graduation she went to the University of NE-Lincoln where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Science. She was accepted to UNMC College of Dentistry and spent another four years in Lincoln earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2013. Go Huskers!

    While in college she met her husband Jake Wawrzynkiewicz and they were married the summer before she started dental school. Jake works for Great Plains Health as the Accounting Manager and spends as much time outdoors as possible.

    Dr. Kate started her dental career in North Platte at West Central District Health Department and eventually made the decision she wanted to move into private practice. After purchasing the practice from Dr. Mike Furmanski, she started Good Life Dental, PC on July 1, 2015. She thoroughly enjoys getting to know her patients and working to help them create their ideal smile. She also loves showing kids that a trip to the dentist can be a fun experience.

    Jake and Kate have three young children; Noah, Julia, and Wyatt, as well as a variety of pets including horses, dogs, cats, and several fish. They love raising their family in a small community, and stay busy with church, kid’s activities, and community involvement.

    Kate has carried her love of horses into her office with western decor, and loves to spend her downtime reading, shopping with her Mom and family, cross-stitching, and trying to keep up with her busy children.

 


  • Dental Assistant

    Kaylen has worked in the dental field for over 40 years, enabling her to see and experience the ongoing advancements of dentistry. She has a particular passion for working with children and anxious patients to make each dental visit a positive experience.

    Kaylen grew up on a ranch near Mullen, NE and was trained in a dental office following high school graduation. She has 3 daughters: Linsei, Lacelei, and Laramei. Linsei and her husband Derrick have blessed her with 3 beautiful grandbabies that happen to be her favorite hobby along with camping and gardening.

 

  • Office Manager

    When you visit Good Life, you may be greeted by a familiar smile. Dana Scott was a hairdresser and owned her own salon, "Dana's Hair Design" for many years. She also owned T & D Liquors and North Platte Pet’s with her late husband Todd Scott, both located in North Platte.

    She started in the dental field in North Platte with Dr. Bradley Hoppens, an orthodontist for whom she was employed for two years. In 2001, she was hired by Dr. Mike Furmanski with Comprehensive Family Dentistry, where she worked for fifteen years. Dana built an extended family with Dr. Furmanski, his family, and the families of patients with whom she has grown very close over the last several years. When Dr. Furmanski retired in June 2015, she joined Dr. Kate Wolford and Good Life Dental.

    Dana Scott was born in North Platte, NE and raised in Hershey, NE. Go Panthers! Her parents are Dave and Norma Greeley of Hershey NE, and she has one younger brother Shane Greeley(Shelly) of North Platte, NE. She is currently engaged to Ray Torres of North Platte.

    Dana has one son, Corey Scott of Omaha, NE, and two daughters, Cortney and Summer Scott of North Platte. She also has two soon-to-be step sons: Tylor (Kendra) Torres of Broomfield, CO and Zach Torres of Lakewood, CO. She is a grandma to grandsons Grayden and Xander Matthews of North Platte, NE and T.J. and Rudy Torres of Broomfield, CO.

    In October 2015, Dana and Ray moved just outside city limits, to "the country," where they have cows, chickens, and dogs. There she is able to relax, raise a garden, shoot guns, and enjoy the serenity of country living in a home full of special memories with family.

 

  • Dental Assistant/Front Office

    Andrea moved to North Platte, NE after getting married in June 2000. She graduated from the dental assisting program at Mid Plains Community College in 2002. She has been working as a dental assistant ever since.

    Andrea joined Good Life Dental in 2018 and is our expert floater/catch all team member. You might find her taking care of front office tasks, assisting Dr. Kate, assisting our hygienist, or making sure our opertories and instruments are clean and sterile.

    Andrea was born and raised in Wheatland, WY. Her husband’s name is Jason and they have two children, Jeremy and Hope. Jason is the Service Manager for Akers Equipment John Deere. When Andrea isn’t working, she is out on the golf course with her husband, family, and friends. She loves traveling, gardening, bird watching, and mountain biking.

 

  • Registered Dental Hygienist

    Becky is a native of North Platte and graduated from North Platte High School in 1994. She began working in dentistry in 1995 after completing the Dental Assisting program at Mid Plains Community College. In 2008, she graduated from Community College of Denver and received an Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. The best reward as a dental hygienist is to build relationships with our patients and to continue to be a part of their dental health.

    In 2020, Becky moved back to North Platte from Colorado with her daughter Kaelyn and pets Shelby and Zoey. In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
